Spraying an entire field with herbicide wastes chemicals and money on the crop rows that don't need it — this project detects exactly where the weeds are, so treatment can be targeted instead of blanket-applied. What you'll work on : • Train/adapt an object detection model distinguishing weeds from crop plants in field images • Generate a precision treatment map highlighting exactly where weeds were detected • Estimate potential herbicide savings versus blanket spraying What we're looking for : • Solid working knowledge of React/Next.js expected. • Familiarity with Pretrained Object Detection (YOLOv8) is a plus. • Attention to detail and clear documentation habits.
