Manually measuring and weighing fish in a farm is slow and stressful for the fish — this project estimates length and weight directly from a photo, calibrated against a known reference. What you'll work on : • Build an app capturing a fish photo alongside a reference object for scale • Implement a computer vision pipeline measuring fish length and estimating weight from a calibration model • Build a simple batch view summarizing measurements across a pond or tank What we're looking for : • You know how to work with React/Next.js and Python (FastAPI/Flask). • Familiarity with Computer Vision / Object Detection is a plus. • Self-driven, with good communication with your mentor.
